Cost planning
From the initial concept designs we are able to generate a cost plan for the project with a good level of accuracy considering your specifications and details of your project. Much better than a finger in the air!
Tendering and procurement
Preparing tender information packs for local contractors to bid for the project. We will analyse the returns and ‘normalise’ (compare apples with apples) to make sure that all contractors have bid for everything needed for the project, and not added anything unnecessarily.
Appoint professional services
A great project needs a great design. We work with local architects and structural engineers to ensure design is balanced with cost throughout, and achieves your desired outcome.
Design management
We’ll help develop the design throughout the course of the project to make sure the elements you value are at the core of your project. Only spending money where it will have an impact.
Contract administration
Once a contractor has been selected, we’ll draft formal contracts to engage them to ensure you’re covered from a legal perspective. We’ll then manage this contract throughout the project, agreeing fair interim stage payments, any variation costs (extras) and the final account negotiation with the contractor.
Planning permission
If required for the project, we will work with you and the architect to get planning permission packs submitted and council decisions to allow commencement of your project.
Programming and scheduling
We keep a programme of works to assist with planning your project and keep on track and to timescales. Ensuring anything needed on site is there in time.
Cost and change management
We’ll keep an up to date track of costs throughout the project and update you frequently. Things can change on a project so keeping informed of the likely out turn cost is paramount for decision making and cash planning.
